Charges have been filed in a Tuesday night police chase in Wood River. 35-year-old Jared C. Nagel of the 1,400 block of Esther is charged with Unlawful Possession of Weapons by a Felon, Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, and Driving While License Revoked.
Nagel was taken into custody after he allegedly hopped behind the wheel of a vehicle in which Deputy Police Chief Dan Bunt tells The Big Z the original driver jumped out and ran away during an attempted traffic stop.
