The 14th annual Mississippi Earthtones Festival will look different this year due to COVID-19. The large public gathering on Broadway will not take place, no food vendors, and no musical acts but a new virtual scavenger hunt will be held along with a drive-in movie night. The festival will be held on Saturday.
Alton Main Street and the local chapter of the Sierra Club is sponsoring the event, with a highlight a free scavenger hunt from 3-7pm through downtown Alton. Main Street Executive Director Sara McGibany shared details with the Big Z this week:
