The 9th annual Market Street Community Block Party is back for another year on Saturday. The free, family friendly event is part health fair, part community picnic, and part kids day. It runs tomorrow from 11am to 3pm on Market Street in Alton between 3rd and 6th Streets.

Pastor Peals asks that kids bring a canned good or non-perishable food item for the Crisis Food Center or Salvation Army Food Pantry and they'll get a free back pack will school supplies. Food and drink will be provided, there will also be entertainment, bounce houses and the free health fair runs from 11am to 2pm with no pre-registration required.
