Three Belleville men are facing charges of first-degree murder in the death of a Collinsville man. 23-year-old Darian Woods was found shot to death during an apparent home invasion on November 19 and the charges in the case were announced on Friday by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
40-year-old Demandrell Davis, 27-year-old Adisa Smith and 25-year-old George Lacey were charged with first degree murder, armed robbery, and home invasion. The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis worked on the case at the request of the Collinsville Police Department and 15 investigators worked nearly 100 hours on the case. Davis and Smith are being held without bond and Lacey is still at large.
