Coy Junior "Corky" Short, 78, of Athens, Tennessee, formerly of Jersey County and Brighton, died at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.Surviving are :Four Sons:     Vic Short of Fieldon                        Matt Short of Goldsmith, Texas                        Eric Short of Edwardsville                        Kirk Short of Granite City10 Grandchildren       5 Great GrandchildrenTwo Sisters:   June Short of Jerseyville                        Judy Rubinson of LaVerne, CaliforniaVisitation will be from 12 noon until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Burial will take place in the Godfrey Cemetery with the Jerseyville American Legion Post 492 conducting military graveside rites.Memorials may be given to his family in care of the funeral home.
