Leola Maxine Trosley, 95, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Bethalto Care Center.She was born May 23, 1922, in Kampsville, Illinois, daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Goetz) Suhling.Maxine married John W. Trosley on May 4, 1946, in Wood River, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1986.Maxine was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto as well as the St. Anne Club at church and the Meadowbrook Fire Auxiliary. She enjoyed flower gardening, quilting and sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Mary Ann and Greg Werking of Industry, PA, Paul Trosley of Meadowbrook, Mike and Carol Trosley of Palmyra, Illinois, Bill and Cindy Trosley of Bethalto; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three siblings and their spouses, Ann Marie and Terry Bollinger of Wood River, Annetta and Ted Clark of Hannibal, MO, Rachel and Don Asmus of Mirriam, KS; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Al Trosley, four brothers and two sisters.Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto with Fr. Tom Liebler officiating.
