Wanda Elledge

Wanda Fay Elledge, 84, passed from Earth to Glory at 5:10 pm on Monday, September 17, 2018.

She was born on February 16, 1934 in Medora, IL the daughter of Joseph W. and Susan (Bilbruck) Dunn.

Wanda graduated elementary school in Hettick, IL and attended Carlinville High School.

She married Virgil "Glen" on October 15, 1950 in Carlinville. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2003. To this union were born four sons: Brad (Debbie) Elledge of Alton, IL, Jeff (Brenda) Elledge of Bryan, TX, Greg (Carolyn) Elledge of Murphy, NC and Tim (Lorrie) Elledge of Bethalto, IL.

Wanda was a homemaker for most of her life, she also owned and operated Wonder Maids Cleaning Service for eight years and volunteered as a teacher's assistant for two years.She also volunteered countless hours at Operation Blessing and Arms of Love throughout the years. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Countless memories were made and she had a wonderful time on this Earth. Of all the many great things we can say about her, words could never describe what a truly wonderful woman she was.

Wanda is survived by three sons, eight grandchildren, one step-grandson, fifteen great-grandchildren and three sisters:Wilma Kroeger and Evelyn Hughes both of Carlinville and Melba Ribble of Bethalto, IL.She leaves behind many special friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Bradley, a daughter-in-law, Dee, seven brothers: Clarence, Ivan, Thomas, Denzil, Joseph, Robert, Melvin; two sisters: Delores and Daisy Mae.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2018 from 3pm until the time of service at 6 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes, Alton with the Rev. Roy Roades, officiating.

Memorials are suggested toAbundant Life Community Church, Lighthouse for the Blind or D.A.V.
