Bruce R Hanold, 89, of Brighton, passed away at 6:05 am on Fri Nov 16, 2018 at home. He was born on Dec 24, 1928 in Brighton, IL to Earl Louis & Clara (Denby) Hanold.
He married June (Simpson) Hanold on June 13, 1952 in Santa Maria, CA.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters & son in law; Teri Hopwood of Bethalto and Cheri & Paul Walton of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren; Luke Hopwood, Louisa, John, Allen & George Walton, great grandchildren; Max & Lillian Hopwood, and Cate, Paul & Claire Walton and a brother; Wayne & Stephie Hanold of Peoria.
He worked at Allstate Insurance for 37 years.
He was a US Army Master Sgt and Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, brother & sister in law; Allen & Jenny Hanold and son in law; Randy Hopwood.
Private burial will be in the Brighton Cemetery with Rev Mark Scandrett officiating and the Alton VFW Post #1308 Ritual Team providing full military honors.
Visitation will be 3:30 pm - 7 pm Monday Nov 19, 2018 at Targhetta F H in Brighton.
