Darleen Marie Twichell, 90, passed away at 5:40 pm Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Calhoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hardin.
Darleen was born on May 14, 1926 in Golden Eagle, IL, the daughter of the late Leo and Josephine (Robeen) Fortschneider.
She married Eldon Twichell on February 15, 1947 at St. Mary Church in Brussels.
Darleen was a homemaker. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish and a member of Batchtown Women’s Club.
Survivors include two children, Jim Twichell of Hardin and Wendy Jo Twichell-O’Neal; two grandchildren, Ethan Twichell O’Neal and Kevin Twichell O’Neal; two great grandchildren, Dillon Twichell O’Neal and Aiden Twichell O’Neal.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am February 11, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Meppen, IL Fr. Don Roberts celebrant.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary School in Brussels.
