To create communities that embrace respect, dignity, understanding, and forgiveness among people of different cultures, races, and religion. Activities are conducted and aimed at finding solutions to social and human problems such as poverty, energy and water needs, and educational inequities.

The MJCH Foundation supports the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities, a division of Lewis and Clark Community College, in its efforts to create quality humanities programming in the areas of education, research, public engagement and leadership.

Inspiring and leading world change through humanities programs and educational activities, the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities seeks to serve as a major educational center.

NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL IMPACT

The MJCH will also host professional education institutes that focus on teachers implementing the humanities to inspire their students to reach above the stars through education in order to pull themselves from a lifetime cycle of poverty. The Center will serve as a place where major speakers from across the world will draw thousands of visitors to the Madison County Area, while raising the level of education for individuals locally, nationally and internationally.

The Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities Foundation is proud to present NPR's Diane Rehm as the speaker for our 2020 Annual Fundraiser & Dinner.

Diane Rehm is the award-winning radio host of NPR's internationally distributed show, The Diane Rehm Show, a bestselling author and host of her own weekly podcast, where she talks about what’s going on in Washington, ideas that inform and the latest on living well as we live longer.

The program begins at 6:30 p.m.; Doors will open at 6 p.m.
