From Pinotage to Steen and all the varietals in between, South African wine culture boasts a rich history that traces back to the Dutch governors who first brought vines to Cape Colony in the 17th century. In fact, the dessert wines of Constantina were once some of the most prized in the world.

Since the end of Apartheid in the 1990s, South Africa has re-emerged on the global scene as a leading viticultural destination. Join The Preston (located inside the historic Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta Hotel) and Kat Camera from Broadbent Imports at the intersection of food, wine, and place -- a dinner that is sure to enrich and enlighten . . . or at the very least, produce a decent buzz.
