(Edwardsville, Ill. – July 9, 2019) – Coldwell Banker Brown Realtors knows how to find clients their dream homes, and they will be putting those skills to work for dozens of homeless pets in our area.
Coldwell Banker Brown Realtors, in conjunction with Partners for Pets, is proud to present the 3rd Annual Home’s Best Friend Adopt-A-Thon on August 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The community is encouraged to come to Partners for Pets facility at 9136 Lower Marine Road in St. Jacob to enjoy food, music and the opportunity to take home a fuzzy friend at reduced adoption rates.
“This is an event our agents look forward to every year,” said Coldwell Banker Brown Realtors’ President, Gerry Schuetzenhofer. “Over the last two years, we’ve been able to help more than 55 animals get adopted and have raised more than $5,000 in donations. It’s been exciting to see the tremendous impact we can make when all 200 plus agents and employees come together to support a cause,” said Schuetzenhofer.
Coldwell Banker Brown agents have featured adoptable pets on their Facebook pages and will help staff the Adopt-A-Thon. The agents also put special focus on finding homes for pets who have been at the shelter for several months and have struggled to get adopted.
This year’s Home’s Best Friend Adopt-a-Thon will include family and pet-friendly entertainment such as snow cones, face painting, games, free pet photos and specialty vendor items. The event will also feature a LIVE radio remote broadcast from 92.3 WIL-FM, drinks from Global Brew and a Cornhole Tournament immediately following the event. In addition, several agents and affiliated businesses are sponsoring 50 animals to offset adoption costs. Sponsored dogs will be $50 and sponsored cats will be $10 the day of the event. Adoption rates for all other animals will also be reduced that day.
This year, Coldwell Banker Brown Realtors will also be selling raffle tickets to win unique dog houses. Tickets will be sold at Land of Goshen Farmer’s Market on July 20 or can be purchased online.
