The Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton served 85 children last week during the annual “Give Kids a Smile” event. The volunteer dentists and staff provided more than $53,000 in preventative, restorative, and surgical treatment for the children who participated on October 14th.

Dr. Katie Kosten, the Director of Community Dentistry for SIU-Dental School, tells the Big Z, it is important to make education fun for the kids.
