Projects to help prevent injury and death during severe weather will be the topic during the upcoming Madison County All Hazards Mitigation Planning meeting next week.
The committee began updating the country’s plan in October of last year. The All Hazards Mitigation Plan will identify projects and activities aimed to protect Madison County residents and property from storms and other natural disasters.
Mary Kate Brown, the Deputy Director of Madison County Emergency Management tells the Big Z that the goal is to update the previous 5-year plan.
