The Major Case Squad is announcing an arrest and charges in a double homicide in Edwardsville. 23-year-old Zachary Capers, last known to be living in Collinsville, has been charged with four counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Michael and Lois Ladd.
The Ladds were found stabbed to death in their Edwardsville home Monday morning at around 10:30. Major Jeff Connor says don't know of any connection between Capers and the Ladds.

Madison County State's Attorney Tom Gibbons says they will be seeking a life sentence.

Capers was actually being held in jail at the time of the discovery of the murders, as he had been picked up on an unrelated charge on Sunday. He is being held without bond in the Madison County Jail.
