A 45-year-old man who has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting three minors at his home in Bethalto, will become a Registered Sex Offender for the rest of his life, and will be sentenced to more than 20 years prison time in relation to his crimes. According to the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office, Eric B. Rusk began his abuse of the victims beginning in 2011 when they were under 13 years of age.
As a result of the investigation, Rusk was charged with multiple counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child – Class X Felonies in May of 2017. In addition to those charges, Rusk pleaded guilty to three counts of Criminal Sexual Assault, one for each victim. Rusk will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence – which is a term of 21 years in the Illinois Corrections system.
