As Godfrey moves forward with the upgrade of its bike and pedestrian trail system, the village trustees have given its Park and Recreation Director permission to seek a grant for the next phase. Todd Strubhart has been given direction to apply for the 2021 Metro East Park District Grant, which has funded a number of village projects over the years
Strubhart says they will be seeking $300,000.

Trustees also recently approved going out for bids on the Glazebrook Park expansion project. That would include the creation of a lacrosse field, splash pad, an all-inclusive playground, fitness area, two pavilions, and four pickleball courts.
