It’s build day for a nationwide group that has a mission of making sure homeless kids do not sleep on the floor. Sleep in Heavenly Peace has established a chapter in Alton. The organization builds bunkbeds for homeless kids and is hoping businesses and individuals will join together to help build the beds in 2020.

Jason Brunaugh, owner of Brunaugh Construction and Design, is organizing the chapter for the Alton area and tells the Big Z it’s an area of need and he’s trying to rally people to help fill it:

Brunaugh says there’s room for volunteer builders, even if you don’t have previous construction experience. Today’s project runs from 9am-noon. He’s also looking for businesses and others to partner with on future projects. If you’re interested, go to: https://www.facebook.com/SHPAlton/
