Illinoisans received hundreds of millions of robocalls last year, and the state's utility watchdog has a guide to make sure you’re doing everything possible to quiet the calls. Consumers nationwide received an estimated 47.8 billion automated calls in 2018, according to some estimates. Of that, Illinoisans got about 1.8 billion.
