The chairman of the Madison County Board is responding to statements made by his Democratic challenger in the coming election. On Monday, Bob Daiber called for cuts in the office if he were to be elected in November. Republican Chairman Kurt Prenzler says there have already been cuts since he took over the office following the 2016 election.

Daiber had called for a 20% reduction in the chairman’s salary. Prenzler tells The Big Z he’s making less than his predecessor.
