The annual University of Scouting event is coming up tomorrow (Saturday) at SIU – Edwardsville. The Greater St. Louis Area Council for the Boy Scouts of America will host the event. Approximately 1,000 scouts and adults are expected to attend and receive training for all levels of scouting.

University of Scouting is described as a day-long event that offers the widest variety of training opportunities, in all program areas, all in one place. Attendees will attend events at the University Edwardsville’s Morris University Center, Peck Hall and Science East. A welcome ceremony starts the day at 8:45 a.m. Courses offered include leadership training, special needs scouting, STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) topics, teaching and training, scouting skills and merit badges.
