Southern Illinois University Edwardsville has been awarded a three-year Grant around $990,000 from the National Science Foundation. SIUE received this grant for a project called Advance Adaptation.

This project is focused on an inclusive model of excellence in STEM. The goals of this project are to increase recruitment along with hiring diverse females. Jessica Harris Interim assistant provost for inclusive academic excellence told the Big Z why SIUE values diversity in the workplace.

Two graduate student researchers will document the response and impact the initiatives have on the faculty. Results will be shared through SIUE Advance project website, along with national venues.
