The Stadium Theater in Jerseyville is getting ready for its reopening. There have been many improvements to the facility in recent months, including the installation of new laser projectors that will ensure a larger and brighter picture when the doors open this Friday, May 7.
The first improvement you are likely to see is a refurbished marquee. Jerseyville Economic Development Corporation Partners in Progress executive director Shari Albrecht tells The Big Z the theater was the first recipient of the Jerseyville Commercial Building Improvement Grant program.

The theater has three screens, and there will be more parking available soon, as an old building across the street is being demolished and the lot razed. The movie hotline is (618) 498-4711. For updated information about the theater, go to westsidecinema.com/stadium-theater
