A number of projects at SIUE will move forward, with the awarding of contracts recently by the Board of Trustees. The contracts will provide infrastructure improvements, tech support, and recruitment initiatives, as well as an alternate and lower tuition for active duty military members.

Other contracts authorized call center support, a 48-month lease and purchase program for computer stations, and work on the water distribution system valve and hydrant replacement project. The aforementioned adjustment to the military tuition will mean the college will pay the alternate tuition rate per credit hour equal to the maximum allowable benefit provided by the Department of Defense's Military Tuition Assistance Program. It does not apply to professional level programs.
