There will be no shortage of fireworks displays in the Riverbend this year. In addition to the traditional Independence Day holiday shows, the Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau is sponsoring shows every Thursday evening from June 3 to September 9 in Alton and Grafton.
Thursday, July 1 will be the only exception. The fireworks show will go off simultaneously in each city at approximately 9pm. Cory Jobe, President and CEO of the Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau tells The Big Z this will be a nice head-start to the weekends.

The Grafton Ferry has added Thursday to its schedule to help encourage people to enjoy the Grafton fireworks. Businesses in the two communities are encouraged to create specials and overnight deals on Thursdays to provide travelers with an incentive to spend more time in the region. All specials will be highlighted through the link below.
