Wood River will soon resurface another of it's busier streets. Sixth Street from Edwardsville Road to Route 143 will get a new layer of asphalt next year, after the city council approved the move last (Monday) night. It is a continuatin of the work that was done last year from Edwardsville Road to the dead-end at Woodland.

It will be a basic rotomilling and repave project, according to Public Services Director Steve Palen, who tells The Big Z the project will utilize $125,000 in MFT funds.
