Bill Thomas Dew, 81, of Glen Carbon, Illinois passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at his home. He was born February 26, 1938 in Erin, Tennessee, a son of the late Gilbert and Kathrine (Black) Dew. He married Beverly (Lamkin) Dew on September 2, 1982 in Collinsville and she survives. Bill had a love for horses and cattle and raised,bred and showed horsesthroughout his life. He enjoyed attending livestock auctions, loved spending time with his family and cherished his grandchildren. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and TammyDoolin of Glen Carbon; two daughters and a son-in-law, Melissa and John Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Deborah Reed of North Port, Florida; eight grandchildren, CailinDoolin, ShaneDoolin, GrantDoolin, Alora Brinkley, Arkadia Johnson, Austin Johnson, StephanieJanson and Lauren Harmon; six great grandchildren; a brother, Johnny (Ann) Dew of Tennessee Ridge, Tennessee; a sister, Sue Dew of Erin, Tennessee; other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister and 4 brothers.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon, Illinois on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4:00 p.m. with Chaplain Raymond Doussard officiating. www.irwinchapel.com
