William K. “Bill” Robinson, 79, of Meredosia (formerly of Carrollton) passed away on May 12, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side.
Born in Carrollton on Nov. 15, 1941, he was the son of the late Prudence Long Robinson.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kathy Grizzle (Bequeaith) Robinson, a daughter Lynn (Steve) Adcock of Carrollton, a son Kenneth Robinson of Hillsboro, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a sister Lois (Richard) Portwood of Carrollton, 2 brothers: Gene (Sharry) Robinson of Idaho, and John (Celeste) Robinson of California. He was preceded in death by his mother and two step-sons: Patrick and Jeffrey Grizzle.
After working for Pepsi Cola in Alton for several years he opened his own business: Robinson Refrigeration and A/C. He enjoyed his family, conversation with friends, fishing, the outdoors, and helping others.
Bill was a lifelong member of the Carrollton First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Stuart E. Pierson Masonic Lodge for 31 years.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
