Elena Marie Ferrel, 53, of Bethalto, IL, died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 9:39 pm. She was born January 13, 1968, in Alton , IL to Angel Ferrel & Jean (Frohock) Choat. She had previously worked for St. Anthony's, Alton, IL as a custodian. Elena was a member of the Bowling League at Airport Plaza Bowl in Bethalto, IL and St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alton, IL. She enjoyed sight seeing, camping, gatherings, fishing, karaoke, concerts, and ballgames especially Houston Astros and Houston Texans. She is survived by her father, Angel Ferrel, mother, Jean Choat, daughter, Kara Ferrel (companion, Troy Gasser) of Litchfield, IL, dog, Petey, grandchildren, Olivia Gasser, Isabell Gasser, siblings, Greg (Michele) Ferrel of Hampton, VA, Rebecca Ferrel of Staunton, IL, nephews, Daniel Ferrel, Josh (Sarah) Finnegan, nieces, Emily Ferrel, Julia Ferrel, Leah Ferrel and great niece, Aria Finnegan. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Kravanya Funeral Home, Bunker Hill, IL from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
