Sheila Marie (nee Simmons) Brasfield O’Houlihan, 73, of Pleasantview, CO, formerly of Venice, IL, passed away at 9:43 a.m. Tues. Jan. 28, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Edwardsville, IL surrounded by her family while on hospice care.
She was born Dec. 22, 1951 in St. Louis, MO to the late Charles & Mary (Lee) Simmons.
Sheila was an artist, working mainly with oil paint.
She is survived by her husband: Stephen Sloan of Pleasantview, CO; 2 daughters: Theresa (James) Kearney of St. Louis, MO and Bridget Brasfield of Edwardsville; and 2 grandsons: James and Sean Kearney.
She will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at a later date in Colorado.
