Grafton Towboat Days

About this event

Experience "Life on the Mississippi River" at this annual festival in Grafton, Illinois. Tour the Luhr Brothers "Most Pristine Towboat" -- admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children; hear tales from towboat captains, learn about rivers from the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Army Corps of Engineers. The Gypsy Rose Land Ship will make an appearance on Saturday, Nov. 4. A special obstacle course bounce house will be on hand Sunday, Nov. 5.

Experience the river first hand with a cruise on the Hakuna Matata excursion boat available both Saturday and Sunday.

A special Full Moon Cruise will be held at 4:45 p.m. featuring the haunted history of Grafton. A Full Moon Party at Grafton Harbor will follow the cruise. Watch spirits rise from the depts of the river to haunt the docks of the harbor. See the Piasa Bird, Chief Ouatoga, a witch doctor, spirit dancer, haunted pirates, zombies and much more!
