17th Annual Lincoln Days Civil War Reenactment at Lake Pittsfield in Pike County, IL. Union and Confederate artillery,cavalry, infantry, naval and civilian encampments; full battle reenactments; period baseball, crafts, vendors, music and food. The premier of the new show"Abraham Lincoln:The Great Communicator' with noted Lincoln presenter George Buss and folk musician/singer Chris Vallillo. Back by popular demand is the H.L. Hunley Traveling Exhibit from Charleston, SC. During the Civil War a submarine was first used to attack and sink a vessel from beneath the surface of the ocean. This exhibit features a life-size iron replica of the original. No admission . The Lincoln Days Civil War Reenactment is an Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area Signature Event sponsored by the Abe Lincoln Project/Looking for Lincoln in Pike County, IL., a proud partner of the Looking for Lincoln/Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area. Hours are 9AM -9 PM on Saturday and 9AM - 3 PM on Sunday, June 3rd.
