An Alhambra resident remains behind bars following his arrest for allegedly bringing firearms into the Alhambra National Bank. 32-year-old Dane Whitworth allegedly entered the Alhambra National Bank on Friday morning and revealed that he had several firearms on his person. Whitworth acted suspiciously but left the bank without demanding anything or threatening anyone.
The Madison County Sheriff's Department identified the suspect and arrested him within two hours of the incident. Whitworth was charged with one count of attempted armed robbery, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Bond has been set at $100,000.
