Domestic Violence Awareness Month is recognized in October, and to mark that, the Alton Police Department is hosting an event next to draw attention to the issue. The city’s fourth annual Domestic Violence Awareness Walk will happen this afternoon and evening at the Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater.
Alton Police Chief Jason Simmons tells The Big Z check-in will be between 5:00 and 5:30pm.
