The Alton Expo has been declared a success by the head of the local tourism bureau. The five-day festival on the Alton Riverfront saw the return of carnival games, rides, mud volleyball, and live music to Riverfront Park, but one new addition stole the show for some attendees.

Brett Stawar, President of the Great Rivers and Routes Tourism Bureau tells The Big Z the inaugural Alton Catfish Classic Tournament was a big hit.

Other popular moments at the event included the meet-and-greets of former Blues and Cardinals players, and the live music on stage at the Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater.
