The St. Louis Green Business Challenge recently awarded 61 businesses, non-profits, and local government entities for integrating  sustainable policies and practices into their community and business. Nine municipalities were recognized with awards of achievement  for their work in the challenge. One of those municipalities was the Village of Godfrey.

The Village of Godfrey’s Climate Protection and Energy Efficiency Committee has accomplished a village sustainability plan, sponsoring recycling events, and expanding access to solar energy generation programs. Committee Chair and village trustee Virginia Woulfe-Beile tells The Big Z sustainability practices make good money sense too.
