There's $30-million in the new state budget earmarked for repairs at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. State Agriculture Director Raymond Poe says he's confident a year from now the Coliseum will be opened, and by having it available for events, that will open up other opportunities.
He believes combining a reopened Coliseum with the new covered arena next door will pay off.
