A Jerseyville man has been sentenced to 6 years in prison for distributing meth. 48 year old Christopher S. Fry pled guilty in June in U.S. District Court in Southern Illinois to the charge of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine over several months in 2016.
According to court documents, Fry supplied a pound of meth once a month between March and September 2016 to another accused person in the case. Robert W. Schrader, who is also under federal indictment, would allegedly then sell the meth to others in Madison and Jersey County. Schrader's case is still pending in federal court. As part of the plea agreement, Fry will also serve five years of supervised release after his prison stay and pay a fine of $15,000. The Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois, the South Central Illinois Drug Task Force and the Jersey County Sheriff's Department assisted with the investigation.
