The Mississippi River is slowly falling, and actually will hold fairly steady through Friday with a secondary crest from weekend rains before slowly falling again this weekend. Despite the crest, Argosy Casino has announced it will restart operations and open to the public again today (Tuesday) at 3pm.

Since May 3, Argosy has been closed for all but 8 days due to flooding. Argosy will hold a Job Fair tomorrow, June 26, from 3 pm - 6 pm and this Thursday June 27 from 10 am - 1pm, hiring for a variety of positions including both full and part-time opportunities across all shifts.

Raging Rivers Waterpark in Grafton will open Wednesday July 3, and will have some special promotions to welcome visitors back.

Finally, IDOT is announcing the reopening of IL 108 from Eldred to IL 100, and the restoration of normal 24 hour service at the Kampsville Ferry along the Illinois River in northern Calhoun County. And to our south, the bridge at Chester, over the Mississippi River, has also reopened.
