You are invited to participate in the annual Ride for Wishes fundraiser this Saturday. The event is a benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which has granted more than 10,000 wishes to children in Illinois since 1985. The Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfills wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The 70-mile ride begins at Ted’s Motorcycle World in Alton and will end at the Alton-Wood River Sportsmen’s Club in Godfrey. Event volunteer Tony Vatole tells The Big Z riders will enjoy a scenic trip through the region.

New this year, a Tri City Speedway race car driven by local teen Brandon King will join the ride near the end. There will be attendance prizes and a silent auction. The cost to participate is $15 per driver, and $10 per passenger. To register or learn more, go to https://rideforwishessouthernillinois.regfox.com/2019, or call Norma Glazebrook at 462-0315.
