There has been about $9 million in growth and renovation on the various SIUE campuses, and there’s more to come, according to the Vice Chancellor for Administration. Projects at the School of Engineering, the East St. Louis Campus and Alton Dental School join a number of projects on the main Edwardsville campus as the school continues to make repairs, upgrades, and additions to their various campus locations.

As for projects that are still in progress: Founders Hall is undergoing $34 million in infrastructure improvements. Updates will include making the building safer against earthquakes. Founders Hall is one of the original buildings on campus; the Wastewater Treatment Plant is scheduled to have $1 million of work completed; the skylights in Lovejoy Library and the Student Fitness Center are being replaced; and the exterior lighting on campus is being replaced with LED fixtures for energy efficiency.
