v>In a split vote, the Wood River City Council has given the go-ahead to agreements for architectural design and to hire a construction manager as the plan to build a new Recreation Center moves forward. The architectural agreement is with AAIC, while the construction manager agreement is with Gonzalez Company.

The vote to move forward was 3-2, with Stalcup and Ufert voting no, while councilmen Leroy Duncan and Chris Stanley voted yes along with Mayor Maguire.
