The Good Lord called home our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Sharon Dell Butler Krause on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 8:16a.m. Sharon was born on April 12, 1939 in Alton, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Wendell and Margaret Butler of Alton, IL. Sharon married Robert James Krause on April 5, 1963 at the First Baptist Church in Alton, IL.
Surviving are her husband Robert Krause; daughter, Robin (Pat) Boyle of Marietta, Georgia and son; Matt (Connie) Krause of Bonne Terre, Missouri. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Ashley (Chris) Green Stephan, Melissa (Alex) Green Hottelman, Danielle Boyle and Taylor Boyle; Justin Schwartz and Amanda Schwatz; also four great-grandchildren: Aubree Hottelman, Rachel and Macie Schwartz, and Robert Alexander Schwartz. She is further survived by her brother and sister-in-law: Donald and Elaine Butler of Alton, Illinois and her sister and brother-inlaw: Judy and Jerry Foster of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter: Megan Green.
Sharon attended Alton High School and the Alton Campus of SIU. She was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. James Carrow. Sharon was a member of Upper Alton Baptist Church in Alton and the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Troy, Missouri.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 2-4p.m. and a memorial service will be held at 4p.m. immediately following visitation at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1302 Boone St., Troy, Missouri. Pastor Andrea Asselmeier to officiate.
