William Leady

William Warren Leady, 83, died at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at his home in East Alton. Born March 21, 1934 in Alton, he was the son of Raymond and Agnes (Wethington) Leady. Mr. Leady was a boiler inspector for Shell Oil Company retiring after 20 years of service and then became a self employed boiler inspector contractor until the age of 70. Surviving are three daughters, Diane Pinkard, Denise Miller, and Sheri Leady, six sons, Dale (Melinda) Leady, Duane (Diana) Leady, Dean Leady, Ricky Leady, William D Leady Sr., and William W. Leady, numerous grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a sister, Joan Kerkemeyer. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Leady. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Father Jerry Wickenhauser will officiate. Burial will be private.
