Paul Thomas Inman, Sr., 77, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis.

Born in Pana on May 2, 1940, he was the son of Ben and Margaret (Whittaker) Inman.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he worked as an electrical technician for the railroad for 27 years before retiring in 1999. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, loyal St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan, and dedicated youth baseball coach.

On October 27, 1962 in East Alton, Paul married his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Jean Naville, whom he dearly loved.  She survivies.

Surviving also are three sons, Paul (Angie) Inman of Warrenton, MO, Christopher Inman (companion, Shannon Mullikan) of Alton, Tracy (Trisha) Inman of East Alton; 11 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Benny Inman of Potoka, IL; and many in-laws and extended family members.

Preceding in death were his parents; daughter, Shannon Inman; and two sisters, Shirley Rector and Hazel Inman.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Monday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
