Louis Pecher

Louis William Pecher, better known to friends and family as "Bill", passed away on January 16th, 2018, in the early afternoon hours, at Integrity Hospice & Nursing Center.  He was born on April 24th, 1944 in Peoria, IL. and was 73 years of age.  He was the son of Louis Leo Ralph Pecher and Helen Margaret (Richmond) Pecher.  Bill was enlisted in the United States Air Force in January, 1963, and was a member of the VFW Post 1308.

On March 6th, 1964, he married the former Patsy Jean Black in San Antonio, Texas.  She survives, along with their two children - Debra Jean (Pecher) Bradley-Glass, age 53, of Godfrey, IL., and Kenneth William Pecher, age 50, of Granite City, IL.

Bill retired from Boeing Aircraft, formerly McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, after working over 33 years as a Computer Animation Specialist.  Bill and Patsy were blessed with not only their two children, but also 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandsons.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, as well as a sister, Dorothy Sharon (Pecher) Sherfy.  His brother, Raymond Kenneth Pecher, survives.

Bill loved music, especially Elvis Presley, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin, and Neil Diamond.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 20th, at 1:00pm at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, IL with full military honors.  Pastor Brian Daniels will officiate.
