Lora Keene, 85, died at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her residence.
Born January 19, 1933 in East Alton, she was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Elsie B. (Roberts) Vaughn. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton. On June 4, 1954 she married Norman C. Keene.
Along with her husband she is survived by two daughters, Sarah Franklin (Herman) of Alton and Lauri Naylor (Randy) of Bunker Hill, one son, Daniel L. Marshall (Pat) of Sun City, AZ, 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and one sister, Patricia Hughes of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Jack F. Marshall and William C. Keene, and one brother, David R. Gleeson.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018.
Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery. Reverend Andre’ Dobson officiating.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
