Lorene E Klein, 93, went to be with the Lord at 6:00 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on May 30, 1918 in Hamel, IL, the daughter of Henry and Lydia (Stille) Ohm.
She married Homer Klein on August 5, 1943 in Walterboro, SC. He passed away on July 25, 1979.
Lorene was a lifelong member of Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville. She was also a member of the Bethalto Senior Citizens and a charter member of the Moro Women’s Club.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Walter Bruder of Glen Carbon; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Karen Klein of Moro and two grandchildren, Nicholas Preston Klein of Brighton and Patrick and his spouse, Sara Bruder of Granite City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Leonard Ohm, Roy Ohm, Earl Ohm, Verna Davis and Arlene Wallen.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Eden United Church of Christ in Edwardsville.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 am Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the church with Pastor Michael J. Marx, Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the St. Anthony’s Hospice.
