Buzz Into The Edwardsville Children’s Museum For Its Free Pollinator Party On Oct. 15.

EDWARDSVILLE - Pollinators like bees, butterflies, and moths help put fruits and vegetables on our plates and keep Earth’s ecosystem running. In fact, one out of every three bites of food we eat comes courtesy of our winged farmers. So, in honor of everything pollinators do for us, Edwardsville Children’s Museum (ECM) has planned a day to celebrate them!

“Pollinators are essential to our planet’s health, but their populations are dwindling because their feeding and nesting habitats are being erased,” said Kristen Fries, executive director of ECM. “By showing kids how they can play a role in protecting them by planting a few native flowers, they’ll build a lifelong appreciation of these important insects.”

To learn more about the Pollinator Party, visit the ECM website at www.edwardsville children's museum.org/seasonal-programs or call the Museum at 618.692.2094.
