The school also ranks No. 25 among high schools in the St. Louis metropolitan area, making Edwardsville High School the highest-ranked school on the Illinois side of the metro area. Nationally, Edwardsville High School is ranked No. 2,817.

U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on factors including student performance on state-required tests, graduation rates and how well schools prepare students for college.
